How Reiki practices help in day to day living

First of all you might ask what is Reiki– Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

I first learned about reiki while vending at many spots around Atlanta and dealing with the public selling, speaking with them on how my products work and how they are different and Reiki infused plus low key coaching women on how they should start their own businesses even if it’s a hobby. Because if they see someone that reminds them of themselves then they start to think that they also might be able to start a business even if it was very small. Along with the fact that quite a few people found it quite hard to believe that I was really making all of the products myself.

I have been a Reiki practitioner for about 14 years and since my 1st Reiki attunement my perception of things in life and my stress level has really changed. First of all when I am in a situation where I think might cause me stress I STOP and immediately close my eyes and take 3 deep cleansing breaths from the diaphragm and push out the air with the sound huuh, rub your hand together until they are warm and put both hands over your ears this simple practice centers you instantly.

Well me being from a very small town in Alabama and my mother and both my grandmothers were and are very SPIRITIAL not necessarily religious I have always felt in my soul that I had somewhat of a healing purpose in life I just didn’t know how to articulate it because it has been with me for so long, and I do mean as long as I can remember! So when vending at my church (Hillside Chapel) one of my customers started talking to me one day, because I was telling her how I when I would vend afterward I would have to go to bed for about 24hours because I would be so DRAINED in many ways. Well the lady told me that since I am a natural giver I was giving all of my energy and light to anyone who needed it that came to my table and I was left very depleted until I could build up again and she told me that Reiki would help with the exchange of energy and once she started talking about it I instantly knew that this was a major part of my life’s purpose. So I asked her where should I find a class and she said she was a Reiki Master and I could get my first attunement from her I signed up right away along with being a little skeptical my (human) side but I still was still obedient to this driving force and thank GOD I did!!!

I have also found that aqua therapy is also great for reducing little stress levels, that is a shower or a bath with luke warm water and a great natural soap with no detergents and is also very beneficial to your soul. Now I also own a small bath and body products company that all of my products are Reiki infused and make with love by (yours truly) with the best oils and butters I could get my hot little hands on. So, if you would like any natural products please visit me at www.jaisandyou.com or my smaller site at www.jaisandyou2.com to pick up a few items. And one other small plug I have the BEST Tummy Honey you can purchase in my opinion plus quite a few customers.

And one other thing I have also learned from my practice is to stop taking on other people’s energies!! What I mean by that is, have you ever been taking to someone or been near a person and you start to feel bad, drained, depressed some feel it in the pit pf their stomach. Do what you can to politely remove yourself from the situation IT IS NOT YOUR CROSS TO BARE!! Trust me I have been in several of these situations I am a mom of a 16-year-old dancer, she does at least 6 types of dance and has been doing this since age 3 and I know life can be a bit stressful at times but life is beautiful!!! So just try to operate and make your intention come from a base LOVE with boundaries!!!!!

If you are interested in getting started the first step with anything that I teach or try to tell someone to try, would to do your research and you know within your heart and soul if it’s for you or not, your body will give you all kinds of signals. You just have to listen!!! After you have done your research google Reiki classes in your area to get you started for yourself.

    Peace, Love, Blessings & Enlightenment

I see different people on the gram discussing how they practice Reiki and wasn’t really sure I understood them until now. Your post about “Reiki [as] a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing” provided me with better understanding and clarification.

I was not familiar with the reiki practices, but this is good stuff. I am constantly trying to keep my stress to a minimum. I will give some of these a try.
