    3 Tips To Create the Perfect Mom Entrepreneur Morning Routine

    Let’s face it, mompreneurship seems so glamorous on social media, and people often wonder how we juggle it all.

    As mom entrepreneurs, we smile, knowing they have no idea how hard it can be. I have even had people tell me that I have it so easy; I must say I handle it all pretty well, but it is far from easy. From running my business and going to school to having a family and working part-time, I often wonder how I haven’t gone crazy yet.

    Then I remember how important it is to have a good morning routine in place to help me keep my sanity.

    Having a morning routine allows you to start your day off on the right foot, have clarity, set positive intentions, and feel empowered. I recommend creating a morning routine based on your lifestyle and needs. For me, having a morning routine creates a sense of peace, and I feel more prepared to tackle whatever I have to do that day.


    Today I want to share with you three tips to help you create the perfect mompreneur morning routine!


    1. Wake up thirty minutes to an hour before you have to get your little ones up.

    I’ll be honest, this one was very tough for me, simply because I was not much of a morning person. However, when I started getting up before my daughter I was able to do a few things for myself. During this time I meditate, set positive intentions for the day, and enjoy a cup of coffee (most of the time it’s decaf). Having a few minutes of quiet time to myself has done wonders for me, because I am able to gather my thoughts and be more patient with my daughter when she gets up, especially if she isn’t in the best mood.


    2. Plan your day or go over your to-do list.

    I personally plan my days out the night before, so when I get up in the morning I go over everything that needs to get done. Refreshing my memory, and knowing what needs to get done makes me feel like I have a better handle on things. I use a planner to plan my days out and write my to-do lists, so in the mornings during my quiet time (while enjoying coffee) I read over everything and make changes where necessary. Leveraging time management has been a huge part of my success with juggling being a mom, wife, student, business owner, and more. Having a clear idea of what needs to get done is crucial for me. No, things don’t always go as planned so I always have to be flexible, but having some structure in place allows me to be very productive.


    3. Do something active!

    The best way to start your day is with some sort of exercise. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy or strenuous. If you like yoga, then it would be perfect to incorporate it with meditation practices. It doesn’t have to be anything long either, simply ten to fifteen minutes is enough to get your day started. Getting regular exercise in not only helps you lose, maintain, or even gain weight, but it also gives you more energy and improves your mental strength. I personally like to alternate between yoga and walking on my treadmill. Getting up and working out is definitely not easy, but I can personally say this is one of the best times to workout simply because there aren’t many distractions. Remember, you don’t have to do any major weightlifting or anything like that. Just take ten to fifteen minutes and do some cardio, yoga, crunches, push-ups, etc. There are plenty of YouTube videos to help you get started.


    These are three tips that could definitely help you create an amazing morning routine but don’t feel pressured to do all of these things. I actually hope I sparked new ideas for you to incorporate to fit your lifestyle. Everyone is different, and we all have our own unique paths. The important thing is having a morning routine in place and doing what works for you.
