We’ve been starting every morning off with a green smoothie! My recipes vary based on the fruits and veggies that I have on hand. I generally try to keep a 2 to 1 or 3 to 1 veggies to fruits ratio, incorporate some kind of fat (nut butter, avocado, etc), and sometimes will add an additional ingredient or herb to give the smoothie a different flavor. Sometimes I’ll add some fresh rosemary, apple cider vinegar, or flaxseeds to the mix! Depends on how I’m feeling that morning. My suggestion is to follow your heart and refrigerator and you’ll probably blend up something yummy!
(makes one smoothie)
– 1 cup of flax milk (or favorite non-dairy milk)
– 1 banana
– 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
– 2 cups of kale
Blend to desired consistency
